Saturday the coffee group got together to solve all the world's problems. Guess it didn't work. Maybe next Saturday.

Rachel and Andrea played their hearts out, alot of songs from the 60's from when I was a young building. I think they were born at the wrong time Jeffery was observing and making notes and did read us a poem. I'm sure poetry will come out of this evening, we'll know this coming friday

There was a full house Friday night. Standing room only. It's great to have live music. This is the most people I've seen in a long time.

Walter loves his new ride

Jesse's last Beginners knitting class was today. These ladies can really knit now. You'll have to check back to see what they are knitting next.
Saturday morning is "Chatter box" a little knitting group for kids 5-13yrs old. This is the 2nd time they have met. They are knitting away and having the best time. Jane really wants to get more little boys knitting. She says it will help them with math and reading and just generally feeling good about themselves. I Think she might be right.

Not only is it good for them but it is nice for them to meet new kids. The 2 girls just met today and already they are good friends and going to each others houses. I think that is a good thing.

Last night was live at the emporium night. Gloria and Jack came for the first time. They had a great time. They sure are a nice couple.

The featured singer was Beth and could she sing. She is from River Falls. Let me tell you She was sooooo good. John bought one of her CD's. Which by the way is for sale at Highland Hollow Emporium. (shameless plug) I know you will be hearing that CD for many days to come. It is really good.

Jeffrey was the in house Poet. He has such a talent for speaking the word, but not only does he speak the English language with such eloquence he also writes his own poems that we at the Emporium are hoping he will publish soon. We are all hoping these two will return again soon. It was one of the best nights I've ever had.

Renee came in for a lb of coffee!!! You go girl!
John will get her hooked on his coffee yet. He always does.

One of my favorite little people was in today. Brooklyn John and Jane's little Granddaughter.

Every time she comes in the shop she always wants Ice cream.

Stella is another one of my favorite little humans she was playing checkers with her mom Jesse.

Stella and her mom are getting a little goofy with the praire bonnets!! They were having fun.

This nice Gentleman is the miscellaneous anonymous Poet. He will be reciting love poems Friday night. He is a Great guy.

Highland Hollow Emporium Posted by Picasa

Things have been a little slow right now. I'm blaming it on Feb. Being the dark and gloomy month. Can't wait for spring, lambs and flowers. Jane says she is going to plant some flowers out back of me and put a bench I can't wait. She is looking throught seed catalogs today to get an order together, bless her little black heart. (oops did I say that out loud) bless her heart. We must be nice or she will put a picture of the Shetlands on my blog.

Did you see what she just did????? I told you she would sneak a picture of her Shetland Sheep on my blog. I must be getting soft in my old age because I do think they are kind of cute. Or maybe it's all the wool she has in the spinning shop.

Maybe I'm becoming part sheep. Oh help me !!!Stop the madness, the wool, sheep spinning, madness.

I had best log off. Jane is whining about not being able to spin because I have her typing. She's still working on Dylan for the sweater she wants to knit. How much you bet she doesn't get it done before spring, then she'll want to play in the dirt. I don't understand humans, why would you want to spin wool into yarn than go play in dirt. Strange gets stranger!!!!
